NVS History
In 2004 NVS introduced the first pro audio tower speaker system to the wakeboarding industry to inspire the rider behind the boat. The Entity was designed utilizing two 10" mid-bass speakers in combination with a highly efficient Horn Loaded Compression Driver (HLCD) in billet aluminum and stainless steel enclosure. The Entity 1010 series quickly claimed the #1 spot for tower speaker performance.With the success of the Entity series, NVS wanted to provide an equally high performance 10" tower speaker that required less tower space. Working with the largest speaker manufacturer in the U.S., NVS collaborated on a design of Pro Audio Coax Speaker. This resulted in the Addiction series, the highest performing single tower speaker on the planet. The NVS Addiction is simply unrivaled for volume and clarity to the rider.
Pulling the strengths from both the NVS Entity and the NVS Addiction, the NVS Tyrant was released. The Tyrant series consisted of the NVS Pro Coax used in the Addiction and a highly efficient mid-bass speaker used in the Entity. This combination produced volumes rivaling the NVS Entity.
Looking to take NVS in a new innovative direction we applied what we have learned since 2004 to design a new Fiberglass enclosure for our 3 latest NVS products. We reduced the hang height for a 10 inch driver based system to only 8.60 inches. We also reduced the width and weight compared to our 3 original NVS products. The Modus-MB (7lbs each), the Modus-CX (13lbs each), the Deviant (23lbs each), and the Prodigy (24lbs each).
While taking the opportunity to overcome the physical challenges of using a 10" driver, we also fit the volume of the enclosure to the drivers we wanted to use. This resulted in the best range of frequency response available of any tower speaker.
